Where art meets clothing
Our Story
Saego Clothing started a little over a year ago, without the intention of even being a clothing brand. It started with a young thrifter who was fueled by the song "thrift shop" and inspired by his recent trip to Japan. After finding a hidden gem in the form a oversized black hoodie at the local thrift shop, he wanted to try something new. A Great Wave patch was ironed on and the very first Saego hoodie was created. At first it was just a DIY project, but as time went on, he kept receiving compliments on his hoodie. A friend commented, “I would buy that if you ever make another one.” That was the starting point for our brand. From there he created Japanese inspired hoodies using patches and began selling to family and friends through an Instagram page. As cliche as it sounds, he was just a man with a dream and now he ships his clothing all around Australia.
Why Japan?
The Japanese culture is so unique and everything about the country has an artistic beauty. Between the infamous cherry blossoms, crane birds, beautiful temples and Mt. Fuji, Japan is filled with stunning elements that are full of inspiration. Although our brand focuses heavily on Japan, in the future we hope to display the beauty of other countries around the world as well.

All our hoodies have an oversized-boxy fit. Paired with our pastel colour range, our hoodies carry a unique style that’s not found in other brands. Our ideal fit for the hoodies would be flat white shoes, cropped plaid pants and a simple white t-shirt.

Our hoodies are limited to 25 pieces per design. This ensures that your hoodie will be a unique piece that will stand out in any crowd. We don't want to sell you another hoodie that sits in your wardrobe, we want to sell one that you will love to wear everyday.
